Patates Games

Privacy Policy

PRIVACY POLICY
Effective Date: August 25, 2025

1. Overview

1.1 Patates Games develops and publishes mobile and computer games for a global audience.

1.2 This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you.

1.3 By using our games and related services (“Services”), you accept this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Services.

1.4 Data Controller & Contact: Patates Games — Eyad Alshafei, Email: patates.games.info@gmail.com, Amman, Jordan.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

2.1 We do not request or collect your real name, postal address, national ID, or passwords to third-party accounts.

2.2 We do not access precise GPS location, contacts, SMS, microphone, or camera data.

2.3 We do not collect sensitive categories (e.g., health, financial, biometric, political, or religious information).

2.4 If you email us, we receive only the details you include (typically your email address) to reply to your request.

3. Information We May Collect

3.1 Device & Usage Data: device model, OS version, IP address, language, country/region, session length, basic gameplay events (e.g., progress, levels played), crash logs, and performance diagnostics.

3.2 Advertising Identifiers: the platform advertising identifier (e.g., Google Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS) used for ad delivery, frequency capping, and measurement for non-child users.

3.3 Purchase Signals: confirmation that a purchase occurred via the app store (e.g., Google Play / Apple App Store / Steam). Payments are processed by the store; we do not see or store card numbers.

3.4 Website Cookies (if you visit our site): standard cookies for basic analytics and page functionality; in-game experiences generally do not rely on browser cookies.

4. Optional Social / Platform Integrations

4.1 If you choose to sign in or connect through a platform account (e.g., Google, Apple, or Facebook), we may receive basic profile info permitted by that platform (e.g., an ID token, display name, or email). This is optional and controlled by your platform settings.

4.2 If our games include social or community features (e.g., chat or leaderboards), content you post may be visible to other players. Do not share personal information in public areas.

5. Advertising (Important)

5.1 Ads help many players enjoy our games for free. We primarily use Google AdMob to deliver and measure ads. Ad partners may receive your device’s advertising identifier and basic context (e.g., app version, country) to select and measure ads for non-child users.

5.2 Family-Friendly Filtering (All Ages)
We configure ad settings to request family-appropriate ads intended to be suitable for general audiences (including ages 3+), and we set the maximum ad-content rating to “G” or the closest available equivalent where supported by the ad network.
We block sensitive categories and mature topics to the extent supported by the ad platform (e.g., adult content, dating, gambling, alcohol, shocking/violent content, political topics, and other sensitive categories).
Although we apply automated filters and blocklists, ad delivery is ultimately controlled by the ad networks. If an unsuitable ad ever appears, please report it to us (with a screenshot and approximate time); we promptly submit a block request using the network’s tools.

5.3 Personalization Controls (non-child users)
Android: Settings → Google → Ads → “Delete advertising ID”.
iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (manage per-app tracking).
Resetting or restricting the advertising ID may reduce personalized ads.

5.4 Child-Directed Handling (3+ users)
We do NOT show personalized/interest-based ads to users under 13. Only contextual ads may be shown.
Ad requests for child users are tagged for child-directed treatment; remarketing/interest-based advertising is disabled.
We use only ad SDKs and mediation partners that participate in a families self-certification/child-appropriate program where required when serving ads to children.
Where supported by platforms, we apply the strictest ad content rating and youth-appropriate settings.

5.5 Authorized Sellers

We publish an app-ads.txt file on our website to help verify authorized ad sellers.

6. Analytics (Minimal)

6.1 We may use third-party analytics (e.g., Firebase/Google Analytics or similar) to understand performance, stability, and general usage patterns. Data used for analytics is aggregated or pseudonymous.

6.2 We do not combine analytics data with information that directly identifies you, and we do not sell personal data.

6.3 For child users, analytics (if present) is limited to de-identified, product-improvement purposes and excludes behavioral profiling or cross-app tracking.

7. How We Use Information

7.1 Operate and improve gameplay, performance, and stability (including crash diagnostics).

7.2 Provide customer support and respond to inquiries you send us.

7.3 Deliver, cap, and measure advertising; detect invalid activity and fraud.

7.4 Protect the Services and users (e.g., detect cheating or misuse).

7.5 Comply with applicable laws and platform policies.

8. Sharing of Information

8.1 We do not sell personal data.

8.2 Service Providers: we share limited data with providers who help us operate the Services (ads, analytics, crash reporting, hosting, content delivery). They must use data only to perform services for us and protect it appropriately.

8.3 Legal & Safety: we may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or to protect users, our rights, property, or safety.

8.4 Business Transfers: if Patates Games is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, information may be transferred to a new owner who will continue to honor this Policy or notify you of changes.

9. Children & Teens

9.1 Our games are intended for a general audience, including 3+. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region).

9.2 If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it. For child users, we do not use personalized ads; only contextual ads may be shown. Where supported by the platform, we limit ad personalization for teens as well.

9.3 Parents or guardians may contact us to review or delete a child’s data that was provided to us through support channels.

10. Your Choices & Rights

10.1 Ads: you can reset or limit your advertising identifier as described in Section 5.3 (applies to non-child users).

10.2 Emails: you may request deletion of prior support emails you sent us.

10.3 Access/Deletion: depending on your region, you may request access to or deletion of personal data we hold (typically limited to support correspondence and pseudonymous device/usage records). We may ask you to verify ownership of the relevant account or device.

10.4 In-App Controls: where available, you can adjust privacy options in the game settings.

11. Data Retention

11.1 Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted or anonymized.

11.2 Diagnostics, fraud-prevention records, and aggregated analytics may be retained for service quality, security, and legal compliance, then deleted or anonymized.

11.3 If you stop using the Services, most data is removed or anonymized within a reasonable period unless we must keep it for legal or security reasons.

12. Security

12.1 We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls, firewall-protected servers). No online system is 100% secure; transmission and storage always involve risk.

13. International Processing

13.1 Our service providers may process data in other countries. We require that providers use data only to operate the Services and protect it appropriately according to applicable laws.

14. Changes to This Policy

14.1 We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the latest version with a new Effective Date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
